Maybe "FPS" (first person shooter) as an genre, although i don't think there is many of them in the arcades (can only think of Half-Life 2).

Sounds like an good idea, Was going to suggest double genre/category system. Like, Big category, and small category. So you get like,,, Main category: Sport, and sub category: Golf, That may help people find easier,, you can advance search with only Main category, or Main + Sub category setting.. As long we don't have so many pcbs registered, its perfect timing to do this. Anyone else with suggestions?

Yes. We need help to clean our Genre list. First of all, why do we have a genre list? PCBdB*s main purpose is, and going to be as our name says, a PCB database… We are working hard to try to figure out how to get more data on the PCB hardware itself, than the software.. The genre list is made for search purpose only, when you search for a PCB, and don't have enough knowledge about the hardware, you would probably search with the software information you have,, like, software title, software settings, etc. Its not the easiest task to understand how people search for things thy might not know so much about,, so basically we use a system that's used within other sites. The Genre category listing,,, Our Genre list is not big at the moment,, and as you can see below in our list, its basically based on the few pcbs that's added to our index right now.. Our genre list: Adult Adventure Ball and Paddle Baseball Basketball Billiards/Pool Bowling Boxing Card Casino Dance Driving Fighting Gambling Golf Labyrinth/Maze Mahjong Mini-Game Collection Other PC Conversion Pinball Platform Puncher Puzzle Quiz Racing Rifle Run'n Gun Scrolling Fighter Scrolling Shooter Shoot-em-up Shooter Simulator Skill Space Sports System Trivia Vending So why clean, well, we need to construct a “new” basic format. And would like to hear your view on how a genre list should look like so you can find what you looking for,, Write your ideas in this topic.. Yoroshiku
